Dr. Samuil Rafailov founded Pilofix in 2024 and practices exclusively through Pilofix for focused pilonidal disease care. Pilofix and Pilonidal Fix refer to this practice, operated by Refuah Surgical Consulting PC. The practice is independent from Pilonidal Treatment Center of New Jersey.

Dr. Rafailov is a triple board certified surgeon with his core training in general surgery and fellowship training in cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Rafailov was first introduced to the Cleft lift surgery during his pediatric surgery training a decade ago. It was then that he came to understand the full extent of the challenges posed by pilonidal disease. Since 2022, he has devoted the majority of his practice to effectively treating pilonidal wounds from across the United States and even beyond its borders.
Dr. Rafailov is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
